This cottage sleeps two in a double bed. Fitted with underfloor heating, wood burning stoves, double glazing and high levels of insulation, it is snug and warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Everything is supplied from bedding, towels and kitchen utensils so that all you have to bring is your food. You can book both cottages to sleep 4 people since there is a secure and fireproof interconnecting door to the Coleridge cottage.
Both Coleridge and Wordsworth cottages are fitted to very high standard and we have been recognised as 4+ star self catering accommodation by EnjoyEngland.com who are the English Tourist Board. No chintz or kitsch here, no pink sofas or Axminister carpets and not a hint of Laura Ashley in sight.

The two cottages do not share any facilities except for the garden, but you still have your own shielded patio area and own outside seating and table.

We now have a strict NO Smoking policy both in the cottages, in the garden and over all of Windwhistle Farm. We ask smokers to adhere to this and only smoke once they are outside Windwhistle Farm.
The garden which is accessed through the French doors has stunning views over the Brendon hills by day and at night are ideally placed to observe the clear night skies as Exmoor is Britain's first deep sky reserve.
This cottage is named after William Wordsworth who was a friend of Samuel Coleridge. In 1798 William Wordsworth visited Coleridge and decided to rent a mansion called Alfoxden, near Holford, three miles west of Nether Stowey in the Quantock Hills.
BookingYou can stay for as long or as short as you wish. We offer different packages to try and keep it simple but if you have a special requirement then please let us know and we will try and accommodate. Week or Fortnight breaks are 7 night and 14 night stays starting on either a Friday or Monday afternoon. Arrival is after 3pm and departure is before 11am. Mid week breaks (4 night) are available from Monday afternoon to Friday morning. Weekend breaks (3 night) are available from Friday afternoon to Monday morning. You choose the start and end days but this is by special arrangement so please call Emma to discuss availability. Over night stays are normally only available out of season to horse riders who are stabling their horse overnight at the Coleridge Way Livery yard which are adjacent to the cottages or shooters at the Chargot shoot .
